Brian Bryne
Hey, I'm Brian Byrne. Captain of Team Acid Rain.
I`m studying Economics, Geography and Computer Science in NUI Maynooth.
I am involved in two Irish financial and economics basedwebsites www.arandomwalk.com and www.thepropertypin.com!
I spend alot of my time hiking with my dog "Sir Fluffy" - he has climbed some of Irelands highest mountains (Croagh Patrick 3 times!). I play guitar and in the evenings myself and Karl jam!
The team is very busy but we are in our element. If we are successful we have plans for another project! The "Voila-H"! a retrofittable hybrid system for any vehicle!
Aodhan Coffey
Hello, I'm Aodhan Coffey. Lead Engineer of Team Acid Rain.
I began my 3rd level education studying Theoretical Physics and Mathematics at the National University of Ireland Maynooth; however I quickly realized that I was more interested in the development and implementation of technology than the research behind it, so I changed my degree path to Electronic Engineering.
Outside of my Academic life I enjoy nothing more than spending time with my friends. I also have a passion for traveling and exploring new places.
My favorite hobby is designing and building gadgets from readily available materials which you can find lying around the house.
My greatest Aspiration in life is to conquer the world.... ;p
Karl O'Dwyer
Hi, I'm Karl O'Dwyer. The Lead Developer of Team AcidRain. I'm a Computer Science and Software Engineering Student in NUI Maynooth.
My main role in this project has been developing our Windows CE based system, to collect and process real time engine data and implementing software based on our algorithms.
Outside of computers and science, my other big interests are music and cookery. I enjoy spending long hours playing guitar or experimenting with a new recipe. I've also taken up luthiery recently, which is the building of stringed instruments such as guitars.
